前些日子在一个台湾论坛上找有关防火墙的资料，发现他们推荐这本书。网上搜了一下，找不到电子版的下载。

今天跟女朋友出去逛街就顺便跟她提了一下想找这本台湾出的书，她就说去Bras Basah的书城瞧瞧吧，那里有一家专门卖台湾书的。于是在6点多的时候到了友联书局，果真在刚进门的书架上就发现了这本书。新台币620，卖新币45.55。好贵啊~~~~~

在那里翻了前面几页，在考虑是不是真的要买。我想象中可能只要20多就可以买下的。台湾书贵，这次真的是相信了。

最后决定买了，回来后看了前面三章，觉得不错，值得。已经对iptables的命令明白了许多。

最近老板买了Symantec Security Gateway 5420。据说已经有更新的版本5620出来了。

SGS 5420共有6个Ethernet接口，1U Rack mountable。

一开始就有装license file的麻烦。由于是从ebay上买的二手的US800，所以费了好一番周折才把license file拿到。顺便提一下symantec独特的serial number防盗版的办法。

要想拿license file，需要：

1. license seiral number (more than one, each feature requires one serial number)
2. appliance serial number (on the label at the back the firewall itself)
3. system ID(can be found from the LCD panel or online control panel)
4. license certificate serial number (issued by symantec)

特别麻烦的是要拿齐所有的license serial number才可以generate license file。

特别说明一下它的控制界面，是java做的，虽然操作系统是linux。
client的电脑需要J2RE 1.3.4…记不清了，在windows 98下用1.4…的J2RE还不能显示控制面板。
